Why this exists
I went looking for a Jewish card in a major UK retailer and realised how difficult it was to find something modern, thoughtful and appropriate.
Jewish Moments UK starts with a simple belief: remembering an important date and finding the right words should feel easy. This first edition is being shaped by the people who use it.

Keep a Jewish moment within reach.
Jewish Moments will always keep its essential reminders, explanations, greeting words and digital cards free. If it has helped you show up for someone at the right moment, you can help us keep doing the same for others.
- Check every date and detail before a reminder reaches an inbox.
- Create modern, meaningful cards for more festivals and life moments.
- Keep the service calm and useful without turning it into a wall of advertising.
Not able to contribute? Nothing changes. Please keep using the reminders, sharing the cards and passing Jewish Moments to someone who may need it.
Choose what feels right.
Payments will be handled securely by Stripe. Yearly support can be cancelled at any time.
Jewish Moments UK is not currently a registered charity. Support payments are optional contributions to the service and are not eligible for Gift Aid.
Good to know
Questions, answered clearly.
The short version: it is free, you stay in control and we never need your friends’ contact details.
What is Jewish Moments UK?
Jewish Moments UK is a free reminder and greeting service for Jewish festivals and important occasions. Subscribers choose what they care about, then receive the correct UK date, a short explanation, appropriate wording and a card they can share themselves.
Do I need to be Jewish to join?
No. The service is for Jewish individuals and families, as well as friends, partners, relatives, employers and schools that want to acknowledge Jewish occasions thoughtfully.
Will you contact my friends or store their details?
No. We store only the information you provide about yourself and your reminder choices. We send the reminder to you; you decide whether and how to share the greeting or card.
Which occasions will be included?
The first reminders focus on major UK Jewish festivals, beginning with Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur and Hanukkah. Birthday, Hebrew birthday, milestone and life-event reminders may be added after subscriber feedback.
When does Rosh Hashanah 2026 begin in the UK?
Rosh Hashanah 2026 begins at sunset on Friday 11 September and ends after nightfall on Sunday 13 September. Jewish holidays begin in the evening, so reminders are sent before the festival starts.
How often will you email me?
Only around the occasions and subjects you select. The aim is a useful reminder before a Jewish moment, not a noisy weekly newsletter. Every message will include an unsubscribe option.
Will Jewish Moments remain free?
Yes. Essential reminders, clear explanations, appropriate greeting words and complimentary digital cards will remain free. Optional support helps fund careful research and new designs, but it never changes access to the core service.
Is supporting Jewish Moments a charitable donation?
No. Jewish Moments UK is not currently a registered charity. Any support payment is an optional contribution to help operate and improve the service, and it is not eligible for Gift Aid.
